I inadvertently became more British today.

Walking home from a party with my wife, I found myself noting pubs as landmarks. You know, just up past the Rusty Bike1, then turn when you see the Impy2.

What seemed strange to me at first - the idea that pub names are more helpful than street names in giving directions - suddenly entered my own sense of orientation without the slightest warning. Fun!
